this rangie is becoming a right pain if im honnest....

it will start off the key no problems but on tickover its approx 3000rpm and i have no rec counter working?
so i thought it was crank sensor?
tested on my mates snap on diagnostics today and its showing

fault code 133 manifold absoloute pressure/barometric sensor
fault code 11 ecu communication line

tried but couldnt clear these faults :-(
can anyone share any light on these codes? and would it affect my high idle and loss of rev counter / speedo?

The high idle is probably the crankposition sensor. Could also be a badly adjusted fuel injection pump, but unless you had work done lately, that seems unlikely.

The manifold pressure is measured by a sensor attached to the fuel filter under the hood. Check the connections of the little air tube to the manifold. However, I don't think a problem with that sensor could cause a high idle.

Had similar when the EDC engine ECU failed.
