Hi there thunder92,

I have a 96 and it has 3 brackets, just in front of the upper tailgate. I always wondered what they were for 'till Mrs Boss way babysitting a friend's kidlet.
Mrs Boss installed the kidlet seat and threw over a long flat tape, with a clip on the end and asked me to "clip it on and tighten it"!
Evidently, Mrs Boss was a nanny for a few years and had all sorts of cars to drive, so she's the resident expert in kidlet safety gear

Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Mick.

thanks guys. Mrs boss....nice:). I didn't find brackets but I had the headliner recovered so may be under it now. I took the strap and wrapped under the seat m back around the strap again. Really tight. See if my mrs boss is happier now. Thx

I have one of those but mine are the other way around (slot faces forward). They're too thin for the standard baby seat clip!!
Sounds like it's incorrectly fitted.
