hi everybody. I am new here and hope one of you can help. I have a 1989 2 door RRC with the VM 2.4 td engine. It is very low mileage and running fine as far as I am aware.
My question: where should the temperature needle sit. At the moment it is 20percent up from cold. Is that normal or do I need to have my thermostat checked? Thank you

From cold, check the top radiator hose. If it warms within the first couple of minutes, your thermostat is either missing, or stuck open.
