06 Sat Radio Memory Preset Issues

1380 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Blake
The satellite radio seems to have some memory issues when the car is turned off, left for a bit and turned on again. This issue does not occur if you just turn the radio off and on while the car is running.

1. The page view for the Sirius radio always reverts to Sat2 (the presets) even if you leave it on Sat1 when the car was turned off.

2. The station will show as Hits 1 (though it plays the last station you left on).

3. You cannot use the steering control >> button to move to the next station, it does nothing. If you use the << button you go to the first station in the Sat2 present, not the previous station you were just listening to.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for these issues? The car is still under warranty, so I could have it done for free I suppose by the dealer.

(If there is already a post about this I apologize, I searched and could not find one).

I have issues #1 and #2 with mine as well.

I have just gotten used to it. I do not believe there is a fix.
I have a 06 HSE, when I change the radio to the Sat input it displays no subscription, does this mean my RR has the sat radio package installed and all I need to do is set up my subscription? I thought I read somewhere that sat radio was an additional upgrade.

Thanks in advance
