Hey all,

Checked out the inop ABS on my friend's P38, had power on two terminals at the relay but the pump is dead. I'm not sure which two relay terminals to jump to send power directly to the pump, but I'm guessing the pump is finished. However, can anyone enlighten me on which terminals to jump to make sure power is at least reaching the pump? Also, does the power have to first pass through the pressure switch before it goes to the pump? I thought terminals 30 and 87 were the ones to jump at the relay but I guess it's different on the RR?

I had this problem last night. The nice man from the AA took the cap off the relay and wiggled it and the pump came back to life.

It didn't fix the problem as it failed immediately, but I am now shopping for a new relay. I'm off to search the part number of the relay for the older P's...

Good Luck!

Mine failed one night. It was the pressure switch in the pump. I managed to get it working enough to get me home by judicious application of a hammer.
