Hi all have the chance of a mark 4 DVD sat nav from a bmw E46, will it plug straight in, my existing one is just a cd satnav model number YIB 500040

Having recently bought a 2001 4.6 Vogue I am having problems with the Sat Nav showing the car is about 50 miles from where it actually is and the North position arrow is pointing south! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
