I've searched the forums and haven't found anything. Has anyone tried to Plasti-Dip any of their ECUs to increase water resistance? I recently had to replace my alarm ECU due to some water damage and it occured to me that I could Plasti-Dip the new one to make it more water resistant.
Couldn't find a dedicated DIY section so I figured this was most appropriate? MKI RRS content.
Got it last year and decided to dip it for the winter.
I have a few progress pics and ill outline some of the tips and tricks i've learned along the way if you want to tackle this.

I was tired of being jealous of the 2013 black bordered grill so I went to home depot and bought some plastidip and glossifier. Pretty easy process but time consuming. applied 7 coats of black and 3 coats of glossifer.
Plastidip is strong harmful stuff so if you plan on doing the same, please...
Hey Everyone, just looking for feedback on plastidipping my buck blue 09 RRS. I haven't found many comments on the forum about plastipping the pillars. I live in a hilly wooded area of LA and tend to get small nicks in the pillars when rookie drivers drive up our hill and force my to pull way...
I am in the process of Plastidipping my stock rims and prepping them for the Vredenstein Wintrac 4 Xtreme snow tires that are coming in.
Not sure if anyone has plastidipped anything or made their winter rims black but I will report back tomorrow with photos. 2 rims down, 2 to go.............
