I have been using the MPG readout severl times a year on my 1998 RR 4.0 I teated it yesterday doing a steady 50 mph on a straightaway. At 108,331 miles on the speedo. the engine does not burn any oil. I get 22.9 MPG. At 55 mpg I get 20 mpg and at 60 mph I get 19 mpg on the readout. How much of...

I recently installed a Holley Sniper TBI EFI system instead of the original carbs on my 84 RRC 3.5. All working great and the system has a little display with a whole bunch of readouts, one of them is 'lbs of fuel per hour'. I had a fairly long drive on Texas flatlands with various speeds so I...

I have been seeing more questions about fuel efficiency so I thought it was an appropriate time to provide some updated data from my 2014.5 l494 with the SCV6. This data is hand-calculated using actual miles and gallons at each fill-up. Type of driving is mixed between highway and rural with...

About 10 days ago I picked up my new Range Rover Sport V8 SC and so far I have covered 1600km. I have noted that there is a BIG discrepancy between the Real consumption values, by comparing values indicated by the trip computer to how much fuel enters in the tank after each refill. So far, my...

Just read this in an old thread: The On-Board Computer is not very accurate and can only be regarded for guidance. The calculation is carried out by using the fuel tank sender and the total mileage completed since last reset...so if you are on a side slope (even a slight one) the fuel gauge...

I have noticed this for a while. But I am now getting an occasional CEL Code P0420 for bank 1 catalyst inefficiency. It’s 2k for a new pair.. and the light sometimes goes out itself. I replaced downstream O2 sensors and problem stayed away. Anyhow, holding steady throttle on a flat surface, the...

I can only find online the MPG for the 340Hp. Does anybody know the sticker MPG for the 380 HSE Dynamic?

Hi all. I use shell V power gasoline. Car is a 2009 RR HSE w/ 28k miles on it. It only gets around 240 miles per tank max. with a city/highway driving mix. Is this normal? I knew these cars got bad fuel economy but that's crazy low. The trip computer reads 11 mpg, but realistically I'm...

Bonjour all ! I've read and read these forums, but I can't for the life of me figure out what's wrong with Bob, my MY99, Prins LPG equipped 4.0 Thor P38 ! The symptoms : - Very poor MPG (i'm talking 70 mile range with half a tank) - Lacks a lot of power. Starts, idles fine, and, drives fine...

What is the correct miles supposed to show on the screen for a RRS V6 when you full up? Most of time the computer tells me 349 sometime 330 and today it says 452 I know it's not a big deal. Just wondering does it happened to everyone else. Thanks

Wife took the car for some errands today and texted me that the range and MPG are stuck on 999 and 99.9. I took it out tonight and its still stuck there. I did reset the trip computer and info stayed the same. Any ideas? maybe disconnect the battery and let it sit for a reset? Thanks

Hi guys. Next in the list off issues is the fact I'm only getting 8mpg from my 96 4.0ltr V8. Regularly serviced so any initial pointers or ideas what to check first?

Hi there! This is my first post here, I purchased a Range Rover Mark 3 about 2 weeks ago, it's a 2002 4.4 V8 with 105,000 miles on the clock. I had been driving it like a mad man the first week and was getting about 10.6 MPG, but now I have grown up a bit and started taking things a lot easier...

Hi. I had ordered the LWB from Windsor Ontario and they dropped it off to me in Burlington. I saw their trip mpg and it showed 27 mpg / 10.5 L/100. It was a straight 250 km highway driving. Today I saw my trip at 22 mpg more highway but city driving too plus blasting heating. What are some...

Drove home in my 2016 Range Rover TD6 from the Ahwanee hotel in Yosemite yesterday. 89.7 miles, probably half of which was bumper to bumper (at times crawling) traffic over poorly plowed snow-covered roads. calculated mileage 32.1 MPG. Impressive.
