  1. Range Rover Mark II / P38
This is a NAS spec 1996 4.6. Canisters and some other 'stuff' had already been removed. Hence they swapped the engine ECU for a normal one. The owner had already changed the sparkplugs and cables, replaced with Champion and Lucas as it should be. We received a P38 with horrible misfires...

Hello. I've got a 2003 TD6. When I start it from cold it's a bit lumpy and almost misfires, the engines shakes far too much. Once it's warm it's fine, and is for the rest of the day. My local garage tested the glow plugs and says 5 don't work. He doesn't want to get involved as he says they'll...

Hi, My Range Rover 2.5 Diesel seem to be holding back and running lumpy under 2,000rpm. It just seems under powered. Could this be the early symptons of an electrical fault.

Hello, ZF4HP22 in 1991 3.9, it shifts on-time (with little clunk) ,but quite lazy and lumpy . it generates vibration in 3rd gear (under load e.g.ascending) and looses power and afterward speed decreases noticeably. (if you manually shift down to 2nd ,it revs smooth and vibration dismisses )...
  6. Range Rover Mark II / P38
Ive been having some trouble with my 95 4.6 P38. Ive replaced a few parts over the past few months (Fuel pump, fuel filter, leads and plugs, TPS, Crankshaft position sensor, transfer case ECU and the hi/low selector motor. And had the fuel pressures check, all ok.) This has improved the car as...
  7. Range Rover Mark II / P38
In my quest to sort my 2002 4.6 P38, I have noticed that when sitting at a traffic light the idle is "lumpy" for lack of a better word. It also seems to happen more when it is hot, which is often given that I live in Dallas. In reading posts and the documentation on this site, it seems that the...

Is there any fix to the lumpy idle? When the truck is stopped every 10 seconds or so the car kicks. Almost feels like a misfire. Every 2010+ Supercharged truck I have been in has it but it's not very fitting for a $80,000 Luxo SUV.
