Luckily I was home when I discovered it. The idler completely melted but the tensioner was still applying tension and there was zero damage to the serpentine belt.
$20 autozone pulley, 5 minute fix

Very quick question regarding the Left and right idler pulley's
Just changed the serpentine belt and before replacing the belt checked the pulley's (pqr500060 & pqr101150). The left hand pulley was o.k. But the right (pqr500060) is very slack with plenty of play.
The bearing on the large (left side) idler pulley is starting to wear and I am wondering if anyone has found a replacement unit that is fairly priced since they seem to be 80$ whereas the slightly smaller one (right side) seems to be half the price or less.
Hi I ahve purchased the two idler pullys form landrover today and am going to fit them this evening.
I notice that one of the has a very long fixing bolt. When this one is removed does anything else behind it move or is it just a long bolt?
