Hi All,
My P38 failed the MOT on split dust boots on both front lower suspension ball joints and leaking rear oil seal.
I have had to remove the front brake calipers, discs and hubs complete with drive shafts to be able to change the lower ball joint dust boot.
I did have to use a clamp to...
Wat are you guys running for low brake pad dust, I’ve always changed out the pads on my new vechiles when I get them and this RRS is no different the dust is stupid. I typically go with hawk ceramics.
I just noticed this and I think its probably dessicant. Can anyone confirm that next step is depressurize system and replace dessicant or is it too late by the time you see the white powder? I check under the hood often so I think this is a new development, not a lot of powder yet.
EAS seems...

Hey guys. My truck used to get a lot of dust, however after a recent trip to the shop, it see very little. The shop told me I have Land Rover brake pads (ferodo I believe) however, there is not nearly as much dust as there used to be.
Could this be a sign of wearing rotors? I imagine that as...
Has anyone used these shields: Kleen Wheels Dust Shields? What is your experience?

If not these, have you used anything that has reduced the amount of brake dust that accumulates on your rims?
My brand new 2015 SC V8 L405 is a very efficient brake dust machine. This is my third rover (2008 and 2012 before this one) and to its credit the others were likewise brake dust machines so at least the brand is consistent!
1100 miles on my new vehicle and I am determined to make these wheels...
Dust in headlight lens - can I remove lens w/o removing entire unit?
Recently purchased a 2010 Range Rover HSE and there seems to be a good deal of just inside the headlight lenses. Outside is spotless but inside is dirty - any idea if I can remove the headlight lens w/o removing the entire...
Problem.
I have noticed that I have a rather great deal of dust getting in the cab when I drive on dirt/gravel roads.
The conditions.
Any gravel road in Oklahoma. No cars in front of me. Speeds from 25-45 mph. Windows up or down. The dust becomes visible in the cab starting in the back...
I have a decent bit of little black specs of baked on brake dust on my painted wheels. Any suggestion on which cleaner works best to remove this?
Thanks in advance
I started a thread a while back about the ridiculousness of the RRS SC brake dust. After doing some research and calling Land Rover, there is nothing out there that is a low dust option for the large Brembos.
So... I called the company who makes my pads for my Z06 (had the same issue with...
I just got a 13' RRS SC. Lover the car, but hate the brake dust that it gives off. What are you all doing to remedy this? Cemaric, different brand, etc?
Please advise.
Hey I'm sure this topic has been covered on here several times, but was just curious if any of you guys have problems with break dust on your rims? It seems like I would need to clean them once a week to prevent them from looking like the insides of a chimeny. Any solutions out there that you...
Hi Guys, I was just wondering if there is a way to have brake pads that do not produce as much dust as the OEM, I wash the car and 3 days later it's pretty ugly looking, and being a clean freak it drives me nuts.
I would love to hear your opinions of other pads, like ceramic? maybe, I don't...
I decided to take on the epic task of cleaning out the shop for hte first time in a few years. I am almost digusted with how much Rover stuff I have laying around that rarely or never gets used. Ski rack, roof rack, roof basket, 3 sets of wheels, two RangeRover picnic baskets, Land Rover...
I've noticed over time that I'm getting a significant amount of black brake dust around my wheels over the past few months. The rotors/pads are all new (purchased w/in the past 15 months) and I'm just curious if I should be concerned, or if this is just something that is cosmetic.
thanks in...
Hi,
I am at a loss to understand how the outer dust seal goes back onto the caliper.
There doesn't seem to be enough gap between the brake piston and the caliper.
Every time I get it started it just pops out, and forcing it in with a small flat screwdriver doesn't seem the correct way to me...
