  4. Can the steering column be manually adjusted?

    My tilt and telescoping steering function are long dead, but I'm wondering if it could be adusted manually? If I were to access where the motors that drive these functions are, could the spindle etc. be turned manually in order to get a better steering adjustment? The car is a 2003 HSE.
