Hi all, odd problem developed, the steering feels heavy, tyre pressure seems ok, and the fluid is good. Any ideas? At points it goes light again, but mostly heavy. Thanks

I looked at a 1989 RR classic today. It seems to have been resprayed at some time, is black now and has only the Range Rover name on it. No Land Rover , no Vogue name. However the car has a grey leather interior and lot of wood: Doors, middle console around the AC vents. It is automatic, has a...

Hi all, My 1989 RRC is randomly not starting, most of the time turns over perfectly (its got an Isuzu 2.8 TD engine in btw), but occasionally when I turn the igniton I just hear a click. Out of frustration the other day, I just kept turning the igniton and it decided to start!. It does this...

I am the proud owner of a 1989 short wheelbase since 1992. The vehicle sits outside for the past 13 years and now starts but has no power to accelerate or shift into gear. Very rough idle. Checked fuel pressure which reads 39 psig. plugs are good...what else?

I am currently looking at a 1989 Classic RHD with the VM diesel. At about 80km/hr I find the truck seems to want to wander a bit. Is this pretty typical for this truck or is it something else? Bushings? Any tips on what to look for with this vehicle would be appreciated.

My machine's one is very worn and falls apart virtually every time I shift gears. The cover flips off and the lever no longer provides a positive release from locked position. Really annoying. Being an early style, the units I have been offered by wreckers are not in much better condition...

Hey all: First post but I've owned three classics over the last ten years and also a pile of series trucks. This site and forum have been a great resource. So my '89 has developed an annoying problem of not starting sometimes. I'm starting to think maybe my ECU is dying and needs to be...

I recently got an '89 Range Rover with 114,000 miles on it for free... It came with issues, and I can't seem to figure out where to start. I'm a Toyota guy, and know really nothing about Range Rovers. However, I am very competent when it comes to mechanics. ANY help getting me pointed in the...

I have never owned, nor do have any experience with range rovers. I am in the market for a reliable, 4wd around town vehicle. There is a 1989 range rover classic for sale and it is in great shape. Only problem I could find is that it is leaking transmission fluid due to a problem with an o...

I have a few questions regarding my R-12 to R134a conversion. I hvae replaced my drier andfill the comressor with ester oil. However, when i try to charge the system the R-134a hose does not seem to fit the low-pressure side fitting. I have gone to autozone and bought a R-12 to R-134a valve...
  13. Range Rover Classic
Ok, I have a '89 RRC that has always had its share of odd problems. In fact, I would be afraid if I didnt have at lease one warning light on at any given time. I'm not sure she (my rrc) would know what to do either. Its been a month or so that I've been trying to fix an ongoing problem with her...

The cable has snapped on the handbrake so I am relying on Park and some bricks to keep...
