  1. Max permissible wheel size difference front vs rear axle

    Range Rover Sport / L320
No mismatch is recommended, you will trigger Traction control, transmission and differential issues. Always make sure all 4 wheels have the same outside rolling diameter, even if the width is different.
  2. Good Source for parts

    Range Rover Sport / L320
    Roverland Parts...out of Florida... https://www.roverlandparts.com/
  3. Stuck in snow

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Very true...driver skill is critical...learning to feather the throttle, not gun it...allowing the traction control to work and eventually grab, turning the wheel back and forth to get more grip (helps with All Terrains since there is siping on the side of the tire), and working inch by inch...
  4. 2013 RRS SC intermittent lazy/dull

    Range Rover Sport / L320
If you don't have a GAP IID tool, I recommend getting one. Then reflash all learning parameters, this will reset the transmission to start learning your driving style. It probably feels sluggish more due to this than any other reason assuming you are keeping oil fresh, filters clean, MAF clean...
  5. Weathertech floor mats

    Range Rover Sport / L320
I had Weather Tech mats in my 2006 RRS...fit perfectly...no problem. OP: when you say non sport RR, I presume you mean the FFRR...the Full Size Range Rover, not the Range Rover sport. I've not heard anyone call a FFRR a non sport RR before, maybe that's Weather Tech's terminology...
  6. "Low Power Mode" on Radio Display

    Range Rover Sport / L320
I've seen Low Power mode occur when you are running the radio with the engine turned off...which means it won't crank up to the full volume, usually caps out at 20 on the volume meter, while with the engine running it will go as loud as the system will allow.
  7. Hardwire

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Do a search here for hard wiring a radar detector and it will show you exactly where to go...super easy.
  8. joined the 200k club

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Fantastic Phil...good job - the black beast continues on!!! I hit that 2 years ago and sold it to a friend, it's still running perfectly and not burning a drop of oil! Onwards to 300K now!
  9. Sport TDV8 2009, Tyre worn badly and shaking at slow speed

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Your alignment is off....get a 4 wheel alignment and obviously replace the worn tires
  10. Charging system fault after battery replacement in 2013 RRS

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Interesting...as I've changed out the battery on my 2013 RRS HSE LUX and did not have to do any programming of any sort to get the car to work...zero codes or issues popped up. Was the car throwing these error codes before you changed the battery or any other codes? Where does it say that the...
  11. Nitro Terra Grappler G2

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Another option from Nitto that could be considered beyond the Terra Grappler many of us have used in the past. These look pretty good and come in many sizes...
  12. TPMS

    Range Rover Sport / L320
There is in fact no TPMS menu...the warning signal will only come on if there's a pressure issue. You can however, install an after market set of TPMS sensors with a plug into the cig lighter so you'll actually be able to see your true PSI at all 4 corners...that's what I did since the core...
  13. largest overall tire diameter?

    Range Rover Sport / L320
That will be a problem...the outer diameter won’t be the same, you will most likely start throwing transmission fault codes. Best to keep all 4 tires the same...
  14. 07' 4.2L Offroad changes Tire/Rim/EasControl

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Offroading with 20 inch tires is not a good option...for various reasons. If you're really going to be offroading...you will end up with 18's...it will become obvious after a while. The harshness of ride on 20's on rocky trails and boulders, with no ability to air down is your first...
  15. 2012 RRS Trailer Wiring

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Post pics of what your setup is...sounds like someone may have installed after market lights and just did wire to wire splicing instead of the stock connectors?
  16. TPMS fault on 2013 RRS

    Range Rover Sport / L320
There's a bit of information that needs correcting in several of the posts above...and by the way, there is already a thread on TPMS where we have detailed out this issue. The sensors transmit at 315hz. The issue is that mixing non OEM (Discount Tire provided ones) with OEM will leave you with...
  17. Spares cost

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Check with the SoCal Land Rover club, you probably have some members nearby who can guide you on good local mechanics. Parts can be purchased online, Ebay, from the dealer with a club discount often times, if you're looking for new items. If looking for used items, check out Roverland Parts.
  18. 07' 4.2L Offroad changes Tire/Rim/EasControl

    Range Rover Sport / L320
All good info...just a note that the 18 inch Compomotive's will work on the larger S/C larger Brembo brakes in case you ultimately decide to go that route due to the lack of variety of tires in the 19 inch space. They are pricey and I love them on my new 2013, but had OEM 18's on my 06 (good for...
  19. Transfer case or front differential??

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Option 1:The grinding sound you hear when ABS kicks or Hill Descent (Big yellow button) sounds like what you are describing. That is not electrical, it's the mechanical pulsing or the application of the brakes and it sounds horrible, but that's the right sound, it's normal when that technology...
  20. Transfer case or front differential??

    Range Rover Sport / L320
I'm 99% sure it's your traction control or ABS kicking in, same response as in the other email thread. You said your tires are new...are the tire pressures set correctly all the way around? Highly highly unlikely you're going to get any shuddering from the transfer case at all, and I don't...
