    Range Rover Classic
Is the wiper assembly moving freely? It's been a long time since I've worked on the wipers... is it possible to to assemble everything without the cowl & bonnet?

  4. Tach and Temp Gauges INOP - not sure why??

    Range Rover Classic
The posts should be labeled. On an original alternator the W post is the spade connector. Does your battery light in the cluster work? When I rebuilt my top end, I tapped a new port into the manifold right above where the temp sensor is located. I installed the gauge into the dash to the...
  5. Tach and Temp Gauges INOP - not sure why??

    Range Rover Classic
Tach is white wire to the W on the alt. Connect directly to it & see if you get your tach back. Temp could be bad wire or sensor. Check & clean connection. I think if you ground the wire gauge should go to the red. Aux temp gauge.... I went VDO and installed a new sender in the manifold to...

  8. Fuel Pump Relay Question

    Range Rover Classic
Here's the FP relay from Napa relay AR-274. There are plenty of generic relays in the Rover that can be borrowed if the main efi relay fails but I still keep a few spares just because.
  9. Engine almost stalling at idle and then recovering

    Range Rover Classic
http://www.v8engines.com/carbs-2.htm about 2/3 down the page you'll find testing info. TPS in the 93 is not adjustable unless you elongate the screw holes. I would give the stepper motor a good cleaning too
  10. Fuel Pump Relay Question

    Range Rover Classic
The relays are slightly different. The main EFI relay is a generic silver cube & the FP looks generic but should have a red slash on the top (if they are the originals). AB lists the FP as AFU2913OE and it is now a black relay. There is also a Mercedes relay that works... I'll have to dig out...
  11. 1994 Classic - Restore or Part Out?

    Range Rover Classic
I would base it on the extent of the rust & if you have good welding skills. Everything else is more or less easily fixed or replaced. For rust, check the sills, rear crossmember, rear wheel arches, and all body mount points... also rear cargo area. There is a sticky with a link to the...

You can remove the shifter cable then clean & lube it. Download the workshop manual if you haven't yet. You'll find the procedure for removal & refit. Cleaning you'll figure out on your own. Congrats on the new toy!

Maybe the mounting plate from a Defender or Disco could be welded on.
  15. Wheel bearings?? Diff? or ???

    Range Rover Classic
The steering box is where you bleed out the air. Really simple job. Tighten all your hose connections & give it all a good cleaning. Then you will see what may need fixing or replacing.
