  1. Phone Bluetooth Connectivity-2008 RRS

    Range Rover Sport / L320
I have an unsolved problem which the dealer could never figure out: Phone connected on Bluetooth for calls but hardwired for iPhone so that it charges / you have access to playlist.. Phone disconnects audio after 45 seconds and defaults to "bluetooth connection for music" where you then have...
  2. Creaking suspension. Bushings?

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Very premature. On a list you may be able to replicate the sound by compressing the suspension (with two guys). If not, just replace the sway bar bushings first.
  3. electric parking brake

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Did you have your brakes changed by an Indy shop? I had a shop change mine before, with incorrect adjustment for the ECB, which ended up over-heating/warping my rotors by the time I got .5 miles away from the shop. Melted everything, ruined the ECB setup, etc. - If your brakes were indeed...
  4. Stability control issue on right hand turns

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Can you confirm as follows: 1) Is the tire width the same all around? Provide the XXX/XX R XX you read on your tire 2) What are your air pressures? 3) When is the last time you did an alignment? 4) Are they the same exact brand (the ones you rotated)? 5) Stock wheels, I understand. If...
  5. Car skipping/skidding after hitting bumpy roads-no traction

Range Rover Mark III / L322
Correct - which with a simple move (which would take you less time to move, than to write that post) would be to transfer to the L320 sub forum as you're an admin. I was in a rush and put it in the wrong subsection. To follow up, to confirm, I went for a ride with the head SA and my findings...
  6. 22" Tire Size/Brand Recommendations?

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Just for those searching this thread in the future, I fit Pirelli Scorpions on 22" wheels with +55 CalChrome Wheel offset - tire sizes are: 275/45/22". The increased tire profile made the world of a difference in regards to comfort. If you do a "yanked" full radius turn, it will rub. Just...
  7. Car skipping/skidding after hitting bumpy roads-no traction

Range Rover Mark III / L322
I don't believe it's an alignment, such as toe-in, particularly because you'll not only have outside wearing of the tires, you'd have a crooked steering wheel alignment, etc. Heavy braking should balance out the wheels regardless, but that would also create another sign towards a misalignment...
  8. Car skipping/skidding after hitting bumpy roads-no traction

Range Rover Mark III / L322
Engine doesn't affect handling. 06-12 is the same body, which doesn't make a difference really. It's the same chassis and suspension components to my knowledge. 2012 HSE Sport Lux packag. Not as per described symptoms. Much different when it's an alignment. That's your toe/camber...
  9. Car skipping/skidding after hitting bumpy roads-no traction

Range Rover Mark III / L322
Hi everyone, I just want to confirm what my inference - needing to purchase (2) new front shocks. When I drive over bumpy roads (patched NYC highways), the vehicle is extremely unstable with light steering. It feels as if the shocks are completely blown out (64,000 NYC miles), but I'm unsure...
  10. Dealership replacing motor at 50,000 miles??!!

    Range Rover Sport / L320
As for an update - the Manhattan dealer was incorrect. It was a leaking intake manifold.
  11. Dealership replacing motor at 50,000 miles??!!

    Range Rover Sport / L320
I brought it in, to what my understanding was, a conventional valve adjustment. First time it was still ticking, 2nd time took 2 weeks to revert to existing condition... Now it's in for a 3rd approach. I'm indisputably never purchasing another LR...lease only.
  12. Dealership replacing motor at 50,000 miles??!!

    Range Rover Sport / L320
Just received a phone call from my dealership that they're waiting on approval to put in a fresh motor into my 2012 sport with 49,500 miles... I took the car in twice for timing already - I figure they're petrified of the Lemon Law? This is ludicrous. I do NOT want a new motor. I just paid...
  13. Would you buy this? Color-coded key

    General Chatter
I'm guessing the 2012+ models all have gloss black keys. That's when it started and my mother's new Evoque has it too, so I figured it's for all the models. So there's your answer. If you want to coin it as "glorified" sure - I just like having neat and elegant things, as a majority of other...
  14. Would you buy this? Color-coded key

    General Chatter
Hey guys! So my father ran my key over because I left it on top of my tire one night (he took the spares and drove away). Needless to say, I needed to fix it :) I color-coded it to match my car since my mother also has an Evoque and I'm a fan of not differentiating cars by keychains. I...
  15. Hardwiring to fuses / lights?

    Range Rover Evoque / L538
Hey forum members, Does anyone have any references to where you can hardwire a detector / camera for a live wire which powers on during "position 2" in the ignition? I can't find any wires which function like this - the only wires which work is when the car is RUNNING. I want it while the car...
