    WTF!!!

Remember me? I'm the guy that backed out of my garage and cracked/broke my passenger side mirror. Anyways, $450 later and a new girlfriend (j/k), I'm back!

After picking up my car from the dealership, I noticed several deep scratches on my rear latch. Odd placement and relatively deep! The dealership was very quick to take the car back and have this fixed. We believe that something must have fallen or hit the car while it was in the shop. So, 3 days later I get my car back.

Fast forward 5 days and now I finally get the chance to detail my car.

    WTF!!!

The scratch is now gone, but I have tons of dimples-dots along the rear latch! WTF!!! I"m pissed ... so, I continue to clean the car and as I'm washing the sides, I feel a rough patch. WTF!! From the looks of it, it seems to be over-spay of something that has roughened the paint. WTF! It's not only the rear side but on the rear window! When looking at the car from an angle - it's obvious the technician had taped or covered areas fo the back but oversprayed the areas that were not protected!

Question #1 - What is this overspray? It's semi-clear and is foggy in the sunlight.

Question #2 - The dots/dimples in the latch - is that due to the paint job?

Question #3 - Aside from sending the car back, is there anything I can do to clean up the overspray?

Lastly - the car is scheduled for the dealership on Monday!

Any advice would greatly be appreciated!

    Thanks!

Classic overspray situation - they may be able to clay bar/detail it out. Either way, take it back: they screwed up again.

MY GOD! I would be SOO pissed if I was you. First they fcin scratch your
truck then let the service managers 3yr old kid paint it? I'd be tearin some
new a88holes if I was you!
1)The overspray is obviously the clear coat.
2)Yes the dots and dimples is the shi77y paint job
3)Aside from sending it back? NO. you shouldn't waste any more of your
time... take it back and chew out some a88.

Let me share my similar story...
I took mine to a friends audio/tint shop to have the windows tinted.
I get a call back saying its ready, but there is good news and bad news.
Good news... tint job is done and looks great
Bad news... I "nicked" the tailgate with the razor.
Anyway, I get there and the "nick" is a 5in. gash on the tailgate.
The guy that did it (not my friend) was a certified painter and I was
assured that they could repaint the piece good as new. So they did,
and everything looks great now. I guess the point is... when LAND ROVER
themselves paints their cars you would expect they know WTF they
are doing. They obviously didn't wet-sand it.
