ZF transmission oil and filter change.

I am in the process of doing a transmission oil and filter change on a Range Rover Sport 2.7 .
I have an oil recommend as an equivalent which is Liqui Moly ATF 1800.A$22.50 litre.
I am using a modified steel pan with separate filter so I don't have to jack up engine. Just cut off the filter tube and slide out original sump.
Also I will change the sleeve plug.

Hi, I am planning on doing the same and have ordered/received the metal pan. Considering that transmission oil change is once in like 50,000-60,000 miles, don't you think it is better to use a original ZF oil? I mean whatever more expensive it can possibly be, given that you get few years of life of it cost difference is pretty much irrelevant, why not use original?

Hi, I see you a have a valid/scientific based answer. Good homework! I mean, I, in my case, just for the life's simplicity, bought an original fluid @$26,72 per can. I guess we all have our own ways
That metal pan, by the way, looks very well made. I hope it fits just as good as it looks but in any case, craftsmanship looks very good.

Any feedback on how the Liqui Moly is performing 12 months down the track?

He hasn't been on line in over a year. Quite frankly his posts stick of a corporate or at least commercial person dropping posts in forums.
