    Your Thoughts on Running Boards

I am thinking about putting the factory running boards on my Java Black '08 RRS. However, I am
a bit reluctant because I have not decided if they look good or if they look awkward.
I would like to hear any thoughts.

personally I think they look awkward, but if they are painted to match it might be better

never understood these, the truck has airbags....if its too high, you lower it. Why does someone need running boards to step into it?

looks wise, not crazy about 'em either. functionally, helps the vertically challenged. my wife's 5' tall and i have 2 small children. the rover specialty sliders double as a step into the RRS.

personally, not a fan of the running boards from an appearance perspective. functionally, as stated earlier, lowered, the sport is pretty low. i wouldn't, but there are a lot of things i see done to vehicles in this forum that i wouldn't do. Good luck deciding!

Access mode. Everytime I get in and out it's like second nature - just like putting your seatbelt on. Though you do have a point with kids...

to be more specific, the saving grace with running boards and smaller kids (mine are 7 and 4) is that they don't dig their hand into the pockets behind the front seats and use it to pull themselves into the back.

Thumbs down on the running boards, but giant thumbs up for Off-Roving Rock Sliders.

No unless someone in your family needs them.
