    [2.7TD] Safe cruise rpm

What would be the best safe cruise rpm range (or speed) for my 2.7 TD RRS? Just wondering how long is it possible to maintain fe.3000 rpm without making any harm to the vehicle (2-4 hours?). I guess 2000 is most eco - is this also the best for the car?

Engine speed will depend on how fast you are driving - the redline is around 4500rpm which probably equates to something like 210kph so normal cruise will be much less - when on the highway my engine rarely gets over 2500rpm.

Higher speeds where legal might see 3000rpm - certainly that RPM will not heard and I assume you would be fine up to redline.

Why are you asking - do you want to drive around in lower gears and higher revs - the gearbox will not allow it in normal use. If in Command Shift the gearbox will change up if engine revs get too high.
