Minimum is 500 miles per week. Thats at least 2000 per month, as much as 2300 per month.

Gas in Dallas is not as bad as Cali - I just filled up for 3.11/gallon at Shell.

Same I will not trade the drive of this car for anything else. Prefer this to my E500.

    Re: Your average mileage/month?

Talk about resurecting and old thread!!

I was actually doing a search on MPG and this one caught my eye.

Anyway, it was my Birthday this weekend so we went to Palm Springs, about 95 miles from here, but anyway, I re-set my trip and was amazed to find I averaged 21.2 mpg!! We had a clear run, I just kept up with traffic and set my cruise at +/- 70mph. Just enjoying the Desert scenery. 70 mph is around 2000 rpm on a flat road, pretty nice!!

The first week I owned my Rangie I averaged 8.4, but I was just driving my Commute of 3 miles with 5 Traffic lights and a lot of traffic.

For the record, to update the thread, I paid $3-91 a gallon of Shell today for premium.

Oh yeah, I used my "say what you see" for the first time, it understood my British accent and worked really well, glad I bought a Vehicle made in Sollihull Even though the Lady has an American accent, is it the same on UK Rovers??

lol, I was about to look up an MPG threat as well. Just got back to Dallas from Houston, taking I45 the whole way going about 80-85 (posted speed limit 75) and averaged 20-22 mpg the whole way! Not bad!

    Re: Your average mileage/month?

I was gonna post about mileage today too. Hmm.

I got 20/22 on the way from Memphis to Raleigh. Cruise Control, mid to low 70's.

Around town I'm averaging 16.5 on the dash, mileage on the trip odo matches the other trip odo, which matches the odo. I don't mind 16.5, i don't mind 15.5. I do not like that when I fill the tank and do some quick math the numbers don't match. How do they have an adaptive, learning transmission, but are not able to perform simple division?!?!

Rant over, still love the car.

And I don't recycle either. Nobody driving a three ton car with 390 horses should be sweating miles per gallon or the cost of gas. 14 round town; 19 open road (which is too rare, unfortunately).

you guys should be happy your not filling up in canada, i go anywhere from 120-150 dollars on a fill up easy, even though it's CND it's almost 1:1 ratio right now with USD.

    Re: Your average mileage/month?

my numbers unfortunately never match, the computer estimates at least 2 mpg more than what i calculate from simple math. i came back from a Vegas trip with the computer saying about 21 mpg, but i calculated at the gas pump to be about 16 , almost 17 mpg. like others have said, i'm not annoyed about the mpg (that's what the scion is for), i just don't understand why it can't get a fairly accurate reading, but oh well, i just subtract 2 mpg from what it computes

    Re: Your average mileage/month?

Ok, well I'm doing about 15.5mpg driving to and from work on a daily basis. Lots of roundabouts and speed bumps to negotiate. On the open road to site I'm cruising at 70ish and get 21-22mpg. I average about 1,500 miles per month.

Cost of fuel well its about USD1.13/ gallon (US) here at the moment, so a full tank(23.2 US Gal) is USD26.22 , but, should I ever go back to the the UK I won't be taking a Supercharged with me, currently costs USD10.05 average per gallon of Super Unleaded so USD233.16 for a full tank.

    Cheers
