Lightbulb Bosch 66156 Fuel Pump is Thor Fuel Pump Assembly WFX101390

    Hi all,

As often as this subject comes up I wanted to let any North Americans looking for new fuel pumps that I found a local source: Bosch 66156 Fuel Pump on Amazon . The housing and wiring colors were identical to the OEM assembly that I removed, the fuel pump said BOSCH but I didn't note a serial number, and it only cost $250 w/ 2-day delivery. Sidestepping the debate of OEM vs after-market, I hope this helps someone out now or in the future. lrdirect.com of course remains a great option - UK to Washington state is consistently 3 days.

This forum has been a really big help!

That should read Bosch P38s mid-99 onwards do not use fuel filters because the filtration is handled by a sock on the pickup in the tank.

GEMS from 95 through mid-99 have a canister filter on the right rear frame rail, ESR4065. it happens to be the same filter for first gen Discos, Classics from 91- 95 and Defenders from 94- 97.
