Need pointers on removing drive shaft

I am trying to remove rear drive shaft from the transfer case but no luck. The front drive shaft came out easy but the rear one has not much room to slide it back to clear the 4 bolts. Any idea I can remove that easier? The tranny and transfer case bolts has been removed.

    Thanks in advance.

Raise the rear of the car. When the axle drops, the distance between the rear diff and transfercase becomes a bit larger, should be just enough. Also make sure the driveshaft slider is in its most compressed position.

Re: Need pointers on removing drive shaft

Thanks for the reply. I thought I posted the reply but it didn't show somehow. I manged to removed rear drive shaft, it was hard because the transmission and transfer was moved backwards a little when I took all the bolts off. Once I have both of them back to the original location, with a little elbow grease, it came off.

    Thanks again for the suggestions.
