    tie rod end and track rod nut size

    does anyone know what sizes the nuts are on the drag link tie rod ends, track rod ends, and ball joints? thanks in advance.

    2002 4.6 HSE (garaged until top end rebuild)

    ANR1000 is the part number - about the only one I can remember. I think they are M10 Nyloc???

    Can't you just put a spanner/socket on them to check?

    yes i can, but that won't account for the thread...i'm not concerned with removing and tightening. i have to source one.

    Sorry for digging up this ancient thread. I had a hell of a time trying to find the actual dimensions and this thread was the top hit on Google.

    The ANR1000 nut is a pretty uncommon M12x1.25 with a locking ring.

    It's definately not metric size(in genuine version), must be something imperial, M12x1.25 doesn't fit. Some aftermarket are different.

    According to Microcat, the nuts are ANR1000 and described as 'Locknut, M12' although it doesn't state the thread pitch.

    it is not the standard M12 pitch, 1,0 or 1,25 it is,and the other is the standard M12 pitch
