LR 20 inch wheels for RR

Has anybody upgraded their RR to the LR 20" wheels? Can anybody comment on their on-road performance in comparision to the stock 19" wheels? Is the ride just as smooth? Is it any noisier? Is it worth the extra $ for it?

I have been asking the same question? A neighbor has them and he said that he didn't feel any big changes, except that the turn in is a little crisper.

I imagine, all things being equal, that you should notice at least a slightly harsher ride due to the lower sidewalls. And if the truck is used off road they would be a bit inferior due to less ability to flex etc.

On smooth pavement, cornering should be slightly enhanced. Otherwise, I guess the choice is based on aesthetics

Apart from what John has said above - if your RR is a TD6 you will notice a considerable vibration at idling rpms - the higher sidewall of the 18/19" tyres masks it but the low profile 20's don't have the ridgity and there is a question over warranty claims to the transmission/ drive line with fitting the large wheels to TD6's. If you do fit them to a diesel then you will more than likely be asked to sign a statement to the effect that you know that you are invalidating the LR Warranty - I know this is what my dealer has done to owners of TD6's whi have had them fit the Kahn 20 & 22" wheels.
