Can hear some slight rubbing in front end on the straight, could be plastic retainers that hang down from strut towers? Might disappear with time, but would love to know if anyone encountered the same?
Beautiful Rover and beautiful tires! I am looking at the same tires. I put some BFG KO2's on my old Yukon and I want to do the same for my 11 RRSC with this same size. They are amazing, quiet and grind over anything. Sounds like a bit of trimming on the strut tower retainers will do the trick but I have to look at this and see if this works for me. Love your rig. Mine will look the same if I upgrade to the KO2s. Will pull the trigger in the next few weeks. Snow is coming and I want to be able to drive my rig in bad weather. The original stock tires suck in snow and ice. Don't remember the type but original 255/50/20's. Not a lot of options with the massive Brembo brakes so I have to stick with 20's and find something that works without getting stuck if the air fails and without cutting/rubbing.

    Re: KO2 Success!

    Hey there!

I just got the same tires for my 07 supercharged. I cant wait to put them on! I was wondering other than the right rear fuel filler neck buldge, is there any other spots where I need to modify to fit the tires? Also I know the stocks are 255's, will the 275's fit no problems?

    Thanks
    Peter

Peter, we ended up ordering 275/55r20 Exo Grapplers for our '08 RRSC. The 275/55R20 Nitto Exo Grappler has a diameter of 32.13", a width of 11.2" and is E weight rated with Snowflake emblem as well
We will have them mounted late this week on new 20x9.5 wheels with 45 offset. Will try to get you pictures and let you know of any issues.

I went for it and got my 275/55/20 KO2 installed. I followed the instructions and did the trimming. It is just barely fitting and looks great. However on full lock, there is still some rubbing. I also need to cover up the missing piece, not sure if that will cause a problem in the future or not. Lastly, I recently made a trip down to Seattle from Vancouver and the ol' girl did it splendidly. Only issue was the spare tire sensor that kept going off. Hope yours goes will too!

Got the Exo Grapplers, 275/55r20 (32.3")mounted on 9.5" wheels with 45mm offset. Slightest rub @ fuel filler and in reverse at front fender skirts (but not enough to think a issue, really is bearly.

275/55r20 FALKEN AT3s on new RRS wheels 47mm offset and 1.5in lift using RSW 4dcan. Tire looks soo much more aggressive in person.

Re: Official tire thread, 20 inch wheels and 275/55 20 tires

Hey everyone, so I just pulled the trigger on an '07 RR HSE and the retired lady upgraded to these 20" wheels when it was new:

Therefore, since this is my first RR, can you all confirm that 275/55/20 BFG KO2's will fit? Not sure what the offset or width of these wheels are, but would love to install the KO2's without too much trouble. I have read the whole thread and have no idea what the fuel filler trim you all are referring to, but it sounds like with these tires it will be some minor trim needed to eliminate rubbing. So, hopefully some of you have this wheel and can chime in? Thanks so much.

If you got this far I will recap what I used on my 2010 SC with AB 20 inch wheels.

Well after more searching it looks like i found a tire that will work .
    265/50-20 Nitto Terra Grappler G2,

it will fit on a factory RR HSE 20 Lux wheel.and the AB wheels
This tire on the spare rim will also fit into the spare tire well...; nothing bigger will fit unless you have it deflated

Re: Official tire thread, 20 inch wheels and 275/55 20 tires

    Hello everyone,
I'm new to the Rover world.

    2009 Range Rover HSE,
After a lot of research, and the great input from this forum,
    I went with the 275 55 R20 tires.
Had a hard time finding a place that would install the tires, but ended up finding a great Rover Shop.
Mechanic said he was really surprised that the tires did not rub except in really tight turns.

Had the car Electronically lifted about 1.5 inches for clearance.
Mechanic said it didn't rub during testing except when doing really tight turns and it did barely.

Got a great deal in Tirerack for Sumimotos Encounter AT.

Frankly, I never thought a tire would make that much of a difference!
This is the tires the car should had come with!

Looks like a totally different vehicle!
Rides great. (Pictures at the bottom).

Now I need a bit of help,
Maybe someone can point me to the right direction?
On the way out of town for holiday, smoke started coming out of the hood.
Seems that the fan started hitting the upper hose and while on the road, the upper hose failed.
Thankfully, I was less than a mile from a friends house, so after letting the car cool down, we moved we limped it to his house.

Would raising the car, affect the clearance between the upper coolant hose and the fan? I'm thinking not, but maybe more experience Rovers can help out a newbie?
Or point me to the right place for the question?

    Thanks for the help,
    Enjoy the pictures.

Since this is such a popular thread and I have contributed to it prior, thought I would post here before I post in the classifieds. I will be selling my wheelset (with 20” KO2s), FrontRunner Rack, iLand Diagnostic Tool, and Supercharged Grill and Side Vents. Message me if interested. The rack will not include any accessories but will be ready to mount! Wheels include TPMS and are from 2016 RRS.

I need the best deep snow performance so from a size perspective would the 275/55/20 be a better option than the 265/50/20? I'd prefer the 265's simply because of the spare and rubbing but nothing is more important than ultimate snow performance. I live in NW Colorado and have a steep dirt driveway. This is just one of my wife's shenanigans this winter.

for snow you would want a 255 or 245 tire for max performance,
the bigger the footprint the less traction you will have as the tire will float over the snow instead of digging in
