I removed my driver's door (LH) panel recently and found several clip brackets falling off the door panel. Maybe I pried at the wrong point, but anyway... I can't tell what adhesive was used to glue the brackets to the back side of the door panel, but I think I'm supposed to glue them back...
Any suggestions what adhesive I should use? Glue, or maybe tape? And how should I remove the residuals of the old glue?
I've looked at several adhesives...
3M panel bonding adhesive (08115 or similar), good for steel, aluminium, SMC and FRP (I don't really know what material is the door panel back plate made of), but is difficult to apply, needs tools, etc.
3M semi-rigid plastic repair (34240 or similar), used for bonding materials such as plastic, etc.
3M automotive acrylic plus premium attachment tape (06387 or similar), used for installing heavy trim parts such as side moldings, etc.
And there are many many more Loctite products...
Suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
