Had my first use of the extended warranty (6 year/100,000 miles bought at delivery through LR/Assurant for $3,575) today, so figured I would keep a running tally here for my own interest as well as to provide information for others deciding whether to get the extended warranty or those looking at pre-owned vehicles to get an idea of one vehicle's experience over 50,000 miles.
As a caveat, my vehicle is not highly optioned (Meridian signature, tow package, black sliding roof, 22" wheels, and uh I think that's it), so I'll dodge a lot of issues that may occur with electronic wizardry. With things like heads up display, blind spot monitoring, soft close doors, etc it makes an extended warranty cost benefit analysis easier in my mind. (Cue the meme here of the guy pointing to his head--it can't break if you don't have it included!)
The current plan is to keep the vehicle to somewhere in the mid to high 90k mileage range, depending on when the next-generation full-size/sport come out, so I have no doubt there will be more entries to come.
