I have for the pass few days enable AAH and when I park I did not engaged my parking brake. So far the clunking sound did not come back when i shift from P to D.
As an update. JLR admitted it’s an issue they want to resolve and apologised for how they handled the whole thing.
A satisfactory gesture was made for wasting so much time trying to get an answer.
They are aiming to fix for future models.
