    24in wheel ride quality?

Does anyone have experience running 24's on their rover? I have my heart set on a set of wheels only thing I'm concerned about is ride quality due to them being 24's. ( i really like how to he 24's look vs the 22's) I currently have the stock 21's looking to upgrade to 22's or 24's.
    any advice would help.

    22’s ride awful compared to even 21’s so I can’t imagine a 24.

I agree with this. The 22's are the only thing I would change on our SC RR. They look great, but while not harsh the ride is not nearly as smooth as it should be. We can feel bumps on the highway much more than we did on our previous LR4 which had either 18's or 20's.

I had 24"s on my range rover and if you live somewhere like Seattle you will probably get hair line cracks after hitting a pothole and wake up to a flat tire unexpectedly. I broke 3 in a 2 year period at $900 a wheel.

    Re: 24in wheel ride quality?

24" wheel ride quality is an oxymoron. The only technical reason wheel have gotten larger is so that larger brakes can fit inside them. As wheels get larger they always get heavier, especially at the extremities, reducing the ability for the shock absorbers to mitigate rough roads and also impacting steering quality due to increased centrifugal force at the rim.

Now if you think they look pretty, fine. Just don't expect them to ride anything like as well as the OEM wheels and tires. Personally, as an engineer, I think they look stupid. They are a classic case of 'form over function', that is giving up something important just because you think it looks good. To me that's like eating artificial colored wax food because it looks better than the real thing. I'd be more inclined to install smaller rims so I could have better off road tires with 'meatier' tread. Unfortunately finding 18" rims that fit over the RR SC Brembo brakes is harder than finding 22s.

I have never had a wheel size less than a 22” on any of our range rovers. Three so far. Our current autobiography has 24” and the only difference we feel is better cornering. The springs and shocks on these vehicles are so amazing that you don’t notice it at all. Except that it looks amazing.
