IIDTool is here and activated..... A few questions for the pros.

Hey guys, it was a small struggle but I got my IIDToolBT activated and all is well. My question is, Should I clear all Faults right now seeing as how this coming Monday I'll be bringing the rover into the dealer to fix the "Vehicle Lean When Cornering" issue. Logic is telling me not to do it but I was just wondering.... Also, what is the first thing most of you did after you activated it?

    Thanks

I'd leave the faults if you're headed to the dealer. You can always scan and clear when you get it home.

First thing I did was a) debug my Park Distance Sensor failure (fixed) and b) disable the auto retracting steering wheel as it never went to the right spot anyway.

    Thanks Newf,

I left the faults and got the car back a few days ago. No more Vehicle lean when cornering and I cleared all the faults last night to see which ones pop up again. With regards to the Park distance sensor. Can I ask what you mean by debugging it? I don't think mine needs to be fixed but then again, I have no clue if it's even faulty lol.. It seems to be running fine though. So what did you do to debug it?

Firstly, if you turn on the PDC does it beep once, or continuously? If continuously, and assuming nothing is actually in the way, they there is a problem with one of your sensors.

IIDTool BT makes pinpointing the failed sensor easy. Just turn on the live values for all the PDC sensors and walk around the vehicle (iPad in hand) checking each one. The failed sensor's value won't change (most likely will be 255).

In my particular case, one of the sensors in the front bumper had it's wires cut. Spliced the wires, reset the faults and voila, works fine.
