Scott Williams brought his 7-year Land Rover
dealership experience with him (as well as a stint at another
independent Rover shop) when he formed a partnership with Brent Frazier
to enhance Columbia Rovers. The resulting ultra-modern 8,000 sq ft
Rover
shop boasts the
latest T4 diagnostic equipment to take care of any and all LR
needs for all models up to this year's without reliance on a
dealer. They also have the Rovacom unit, which has capabilities
not available on the more conservative T4 system used by the dealers.
Overall, Columbia Rovers goes
well beyond the services provided by the regular dealer network. For
example, they offer customer software tuning and
performance upgrades as well as diesel conversions. They are official
retailers for the Overfinch line of Range Rover upgrades. They have
succesfully converted a '93 RRC LWB to a 300 TDI using the corrected
gear ratio automatic. They are working on providing parts support
for
diesels as well. Also unlike the dealer,
Columbia Rovers caters to the Range Rover owner who actually uses his
Range Rover off road. They a retailer for arb as well as having their
own rear bumper and
skid plate packages. They also offer a full inventory of Rover parts
available for on-site or online ordering.
