John Robison is probably the most well-known and respected independent
Land Rover specialist in the US. John founded his own European car
specialist shop in 1986. As a true Rover enthusiast, he is active in
regional Land Rover and off-road clubs. His early experience in
electrical engineering prepared him well for the sophisticated systems
used on modern Range Rovers, and his shop is widely known for its
technical expertise. John also writes columns and articles on Rover
technical issues, contributing generously to the Range Rover community
throughout the world.
In experience, expertise and Range Rover servicing ability, Robison
Service stands apart from the average shop. For one thing, they are the
authorized service agent for Robert Bosch for Western MA - meaning they
have full factory backup on any Bosch system on any Land Rover. They
are also a dealer and service agent for APCO, the extended warranty
subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company, Land Rover's corporate
parent. As a result they have a range of capabilities unmatched
by other Land Rover service facilities.
Robison Service has factory trained and ASE certified technicians
backed up by a full array of special tools including all of the
electronic tests systems need to program, configure, and repair newer
series Land Rovers. Robison Service has worldwide support
capability in terms of programming, workshop manuals, and parts
lookup. If your Rover's dashboard speaks German, French, or
Spanish they can service it.
In addition to service, JE Robison sells used late model Range Rovers.
They acquire their inventory from special dealer auctions not open to
the public, inspect them and conduct repairs if needed, and pass on the

Jason Indelicato, owner of the Lincoln Mercury dealership in New Bedford Massachusetts, is also a Rover
enthusiast! He owns a '69 IIA and also a '95
D90. He recently purchased the Autologic Rover Diagnostic
equipment and has been doing a
good deal of work his own projects as well as others. He has a crew of excellent
techs and a full body shop, and is hoping to expand his Rover servicing activities.
OK, this is not the usual kind of non-dealer shop, but it is NOT a Land
Rover dealer, so you get much lower overhead and labor rates than the
fancy hunting-lodge style Land Rover dealerships can offer with their
ritzy facilities and low sales volume. You also get a genuine Rover
enthusiast in charge -- plenty of other non-dealer shops do not have
that advantage! As you know, Land Rover is owned by Ford,
