When shopping for my first Range Rover in 1991, financing was a major hurdle. Range Rovers were then and are now expensive compared to other SUVs, and in my own case I was only marginally able to qualify for a loan. After much searching I got my used 1989 RR from the local dealer, but had to scramble for the financing.

Today, there is so much competition for your business among lenders that it is hard to know where to start.
