No joke - RR was running when I walked up to it!?!

Last night my girlfriend and walked back to my 2010 RR Sport HSE from watching a movie to our amazement that the truck was actually running! We don't have a car starter (at least I don't think so) and, because of the keyless system, my key fob was no where close to the truck in the first place. The weirdest part, my gas tank was still full meaning it wasn't running for 2 hours and the interior was nice and warm (seats, heater, etc). So, somehow the truck started before I got there and had enough time to heat up!

What the - has anyone heard of such a thing??

Thats pretty cool if you can have it come on only when you really need to.

Googled ths issue - and seems like few other older RR's had this issue. Has it come on since the movie night \ did you wash the engine recently. Some have stated it could be water\moisture in the fuse box ...or just the Nooro effect.

I've had a few Sea Doo watercraft fire up and run all by themselves due to water/corrosion in the wiring harness. Fortuantly I was there for 2 of them, another did it in the middle of the night commiting suicide If we didn't have security cameras it would have sucked trying to explain to the customer why he now had a toasted motor

Not cool! What if that happened in your garage! VERY dangerous! I would make sure you buy a CO2 detector and fast!

I bet you left it running when you got out...and it just ran until you got back after the movie. I have parked mine once or twice and noticed that when I got out I forget to shut it down (since it is keyless). They are not very loud, so it is feasible you were distracted talking and just walked off thinking it was off....

I thought if you walk away from the RRS after a certain time and the key is not in range it shuts off.
