    Post Pictures of your Classic

I'd like to see some pictures of everyone's Rovers,
And tell us about any mods you have.

    Here's mine,
It has an OME 2" lift, 245/75/16 AT's, and a Mile Marker 10,500/lb. winch.

My next mod will be a seat swap, i'm looking at bucket seats from a 01 chevy silverado this weekend to see if they'll fit.
and I'm going to install a Volt meter in that hole in the dash, and fix the wiring the stupid previous owner hacked.

Here's my '95 LWB. I've had it since November 2008. The pictures are from this past summer when I was running Cooper ATs. Right now I'm running Kumho Road Venture MT71 mud terrains. I am extremely impressed with these aggressive tires. Coil over conversion with 2 inch lift and Pro-Comp extended length shocks. I don't have any pictures of the interior, but it is immaculate.

After looking for 8 months for the most perfect RRC I could find I bought this one from the original owners last year. 1993 SWB. The car spent summers in Portland, OR and was shipped every winter to Newport Beach. Every service record from new and always serviced at LR of Portland and LR of Newport Beach, window sticker, LR touch up paint, purchase agreement, all keys and key fobs, no paintwork 100% as new. I bought the car with 79,000 miles it now has 81,000 miles. I have it stored and covered in my heated garage for the winter.

Heated garage? That's one pampered Rover! Mine is a '92 County that's sat out under the oak trees since I've owned it (12 years). It has RTE springs and Bilstein dampers, RTE sliders and tie rods, Ramsey REP8000 winch in hidden mount, front diff is a Tru Trac, rear is a Quaife (both are torque-biasing, all-gear, limited-slip diffs). I'm running 215/85R16 BF Goodrich Trac Edge tires (sadly no longer available as I love them--this is my 2nd set). Roof rack and load space racks are from British Pacific; both were prototypes for nice units no longer available (another bummer as they are nice). My body has had many panels replaced due to rock crawling (was originally all white) but my interior is still very good, with the leather almost like new--go figure).[attachment=0:3tr9pqdi]06 Ziggy in Snow at Mendo XII cropped more.jpg[/attachment:3tr9pqdi]

    Nice Rovers you guys!,
    I like the roof racks,.
I keep so much arctic wear & recovery gear in my rover, that's what I need.

I just took off my running boards for more ground clearance.
Now I'm thinking about making something like those RTE sliders out of 1x2 or3 steel tubing.

Uh oh you have sand all over your truck. Better wash it off before the sea spray sits in.

I hadn't seen that one from Goodyear. Its shoulders are quite a bit less aggressive than my BFG Trac Edges or, fo that matter, the Goodyear Workhorse Xtra-Grip, which was Goodyear's previous commercial traction tire. I had a set of those on my previous 4x4 pickup truck. The current BFG commercial traction tire is also sadly much less aggressive than the Trac Edge; that seems to be the trend. I think these new generation CT tires are probably very good in snow but surely can't be as good in mud. The last hold-out of the older generation CT tires is the Dunlop Radial Rover RT. I have several friends who have used those and one who still is. It might be my choice, next time around. Or I might go to a siped MT such as the Cooper Discoverer STT. BTW, Cooper also had a nice CT tire that's no longer made, the CTD. Sad, so sad...

It's probably glacial silt.. washing is pretty much pointless here in the winter, the roads are terrible.
    luckily they don't use salt.

Andrew, beautiful Rover. What an amazing find. I can't say I've ever found anything in that kind of shape, 1 owner, and low miles for sale. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for it? I recently found a '95 LWB for sale with around 130K miles and in unbelievable shape. They were asking $10K for it. I'm just curious as to what something in the shape yours is in would fetch.

I bought my current classic over the internet - from this picture:

Its seen a bit of countryside since and had lpg fitted as well as some accessories.

And its proven to be much more reliable than my P38....and touch wood my previous half a dozen classics.

    Colin,

Thanks! I love my Classic. I paid $4500. for it (the PO had recently spent $2,500. at LR Newport Beach in August) I bought it in Nov.
I paid InterCity lines to ship the car to Massachusetts (enclosed carrier and I was on standby) for $1000. The roads were snowy/salty when it was delivered so it went straight into my garage for the winter. Amazingly the seller had the car detailed before it was picked up on the West Coast. The leather is perfect! Come Spring I brought it to LR of Norwood for a complete once over. They could not find anything it needed. Everything works, seats, A/C, everything. I looked at 6 Rovers before buying this one. Prices ranged from $3900. to $10500. None of them looked even close to what the one I ended up buying looked like.

    Andrew
