Re: Cat exhaust leak Ext Warranty Program Q058

Dropped my 05 off at the dealership because I kept getting the P2A00 code for bank 1 o2 sensor. After replacing the o2 sensors and it not fixing the problem I suspected it was the Cat. It is and the dealership is covering it under warranty. Only crappy part is they said it will take 5 days to get the new Cat in. Luckily the dealership is close by so having to take it back once the part is in is only a minor inconvenience.

Does anyone know the VINs associated with this ?? '04 starting running rough and sounds like an exhaust leak high up near exhaust manifold on passenger side. i am going to look once it cools down. but it stalls under load unless you let it sit a minute and it has the SE light on. dealer closed right now, will call tomorrow, but trying to avoid extra work now. plus it's 120 miles to the stealer and don't want to have it towed for non-related issue.
    thanks.

I would put a generic OBD test on it for starters and see what codes it throws and start from there. Jim

Re: Cat exhaust leak Ext Warranty Program Q058

I've been experiencing this problem on my 2003 Range Rover HSE for a while now. Unfortunately, the problems cropped up around 115,000 miles and weren't properly diagnosed until recently (140,000 miles) has anyone found any luck in getting around the 120,000 mile rule of the extended warranty?
