Can't change clock to winter time?

I've tried six times so far to change my Range Rover's clock from BST (British Summer Time) to GMT, i.e. set it one hour back. Each time it appears to work fine (the analogue clock hands wind back an hour and the digital clock updates too). Then when I look again some time later ranging from half an hour to one day, it's gone back to summer time. Is this a problem that's unique to my car? Thanks in advance to anyone who has any ideas how I can convince the car that it's not summer any more!

Ignore me - I've found the answer to my own question. It was my Intravee II quietly setting the car clock to the time signal being received by GPS. So to change to winter time I had to set the Intravee Clock Setup to DST+0.
