    Access mode problem

A few months ago I had a "suspension error" warning pop up, I shut It down and re-started, the warning never came back.

Then a while later, if I manually selected access mode it would indeed go down but it immediately went up in to off-road mode but it was intermittent but progressively got worse and started doing it all the time, so I took it back to the Dealer and they diagnosed it to be a bad compressor. So they are going to swap it out.

I might get it back tomorrow or Monday and will see how it goes.

I'm just posting this for future reference in case anyone ever has the same problem in the future.

My Sport is around 18 months old with 7600 miles on the clock.

    Re: Access mode problem

I experienced this a few years ago when I first got my RRS. It was a bad strut/shock, they replaced it and it's been good ever since.

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to add that they discovered a Rodent had been chewing on an unrelated wiring harness, $600 later it's been repaired now.

    Re: Access mode problem

Hahaha!! I know!!! I need to start driving it more. They showed me a pic of the damage, one cable was just hanging on, the other had the insulation bitten through, luckily they didn't short out.

It's quite common actually, the insulation on a lot of cars is made from Soy Bean, apparently Rodents love it!!

The Suspension is perfect now, it goes into access mode and actually stays there! They installed a new Compressor and re-programmed it etc.

    Re: Access mode problem

I thought this soy bean derived insulation sounds weird so I googled it. Guess what I found? There is a class action lawsuit against Honda for this problem.
