FRESH RR 2013 photos from Moscow Intl Auto Salon

The first 2013 RR arrived to Moscow yesterday and is on display at Moscow Intl Auto Salon.

There're enough photos of the exterior on the web so I concentrated on the interior nuances. Without further ado...
    1. The console for rear passengers, located between two front seats

    2. They claim 10 cm more rear legroom... in the photo, the front passenger seat is moved all the way back, only slightly reclined. I am 186cm tall, so you be the judge - either you get a lot more space in the front, or the new model doesn't offer much improvement over Mark III. I had 3-5 cm left. The front seats do have cavities of sorts behind where the rear passengers knees are, but still...

    3. The rear door speakers. Gone is Harman/Kardon. Good riddance

    4. The rear power windows button

    5. Now this is new - these buttons are located inside the trunk on the right - the allow you to lay the rear seats flat to increase trunk space from the trunk itself - not a feature to be used daily, but a nice touch nonetheless.

    6. Front doors now have the controls for seat memory settings and central lock located where you can now see them - in the door handles on the inside. The rear passengers can finally lock/unlock the doors also by using a button in the inside door handle as well.

    7. To each his own, but I definitely dig the new look - not too Evoque-ish.

    8. The new front tweeter is featured more prominently.

Great detail photos RussianRover, thanks for taking the time to post them here. Love that exterior color.

Regarding the "controversial" front bumper, it is one of the few that will actually look better with a license plate installed, IMHO... There's so much going on all around, that chin under the grille seems a bit bare without one.

I assume from a technical standpoint the power seat back adjustment is a requirement for this feature - the rear seats aren't spring-loaded and the switches are not mechanical. you basically operate the power rear seats from inside the trunk.

However, I am not aware of what the executives seats are like - if you get the solid unmoveable center console then I guess you won't be able to fold the centre part down... But if you can lift it up and make room for three in the back - then I guess it works just like the version I saw - the entire rear bench folds flat extending the trunk floor.

As a side note - the rear seats in the trim that they presented in Moscow feature only one (power or otherwise) adjustment - the back, - you can't slide it back and forth, for instance.

    Thanks,

I was a turned off a bit by the "Explorer" look of the new RR myself, but once I saw it in real life, my concerns were gone - the sheer size of the vehicle makes it look distinctively Range Rover. And the front looks very imposing (in a good way). The Web photos just don't give this fine car justice.

My only issue is how well the reliability is to the L322.

    Re: Two more...

Hey guys, I spent hours combing thru all of the news and brochures about the new Range Rover and here are somethings you may not know:

-Rear Executive Seats do not fold down, they are stationary.
-Electronically deployable tow bar is standard in the US.
-There are 22 exterior color choices for Autobiographies(the kind I will get), including Spectral Colors(which look awesome!).
-You can get two coolers/fridges in the new Range Rover for the Supercharged and Autobiography models.
    -iPad holders are available.
-Soft door close is standard on Autobiography, and is around $600 for the other models.
-Another new interior color other than Cherry, Brogue(sort of a dark brown).
-Off-road navigational system standard on Supercharged and Autobiography models.
-Yes you can put roof rails on the glass roof, and yes it opens in two ways!
-Massage chairs available for driver's and passengers seats.

Other stuff too, you can just ask me. I alo created the wiki for the new Range Rover as well. Also, RussianRover that is surprising that the new Rangie is at Moscow, LR said it would first be in Paris. Strange there isn't anything online about it being there.

They added the coolers because its a direct competitor to the land cruiser here in the middle east so bravo land rover. Where are the coolers exactly?

If reliability is an issue with a new model of any vehicle you better wait a couple years for the bugs to be identified and ironed out.

    Re: Two more...

    What a great post!
Really love all the little details. One of my last big questions was about that silver handle on the drivers door. I had been watching that since the first real pics were released but couldn't get any details. It was actually one of the things I was going to post about this week, under "The things we still don't know", but you beat me to it. I figured it was a cubby of sorts.
    Thanks!!
