    Question Backup Camera Delay

I just purchased an Evoque Dynamic and love the vehicle. One issue I am noticing is the time it takes for the backup camera to show on the nav screen. Generally it takes anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds to initialize, by that time I am back in Drive after backing out of a parking space. As I pull away, I still see the image from the back of the vehicle. Is anyone else noticing this issue? Is there a fix coming?

The entire Nav system seems slow to engage after starting the vehicle.

    Thanks

Hey, Dr. Bob. Unfortunately, that "lagginess" is inherent in the current generations of JLR's infotainment systems. Our new Sports do it, too. I spoke with one of the reps from Land Rover in reference to the current system, and he replied with, "There's a whole new one on the way that should be released with the redesigned full size. That should take care of pretty much anyone's complaints."

So, I guess you bought it one year too early. Ha ha! Enjoy the machine. She looks like a beauty. How do you like it?

Weatherman thanks for the reply. I absolutely love my Dynamic. It is a head turner! Coming up on 2000 miles and it is getting broken-in nicely. Take care and Happy New Year

I got the same car and model. I even have the same issue, but honestly it doesn't really matter to me. I really find the whole mirror tilting to be a pain in my a** but it's a cool feature. The lag is really only an issue when you're doing everything quickly, at least that's how I see it. If you're patient with it, it works out the way it's supposed to ya know? Hope you enjoy your Evoque, cause I know I love mine man!!! Absolutely astonishing ride. Good luck
