To protect your Land-Rover against theft, always remove the ignition keywhen parking.
As an additional precaution the distributor rotor arm may also be removed.

Yes it is the same thing. You download the software from the site and you will get the L322 and the initial issue of the P38 software with. Then when you launch the Allcoms program on your PC you will get the choice between the L322 and the P38.Also when you launch the program it will automatically check the RSW for updates and download them.Hope this is a bit clearerOriginally Posted by BargePilot

Enjoy it!!
Thanks for clearing that up!
But, that's a bit too much for me, shelling out 300$ for what the free software (from the same guy) & my own cable already do, while hoping he finds the time to overcome the (frankly ridiculous) hurdles Land Rover put in...
Storey has a wife and a little kid, there will be things infinitely more important than the p38.
I've donated to the cause through paypal and hold out until the HEVAC functions arrive.

Is there any news on when the 'Lighting Module Functions" OR the "Body Module Functions" will be up and running for the MKIII L322?
I see I can write to them on the "Debug Manual Functions" tab, however I don't understand what to write?![]()

Any news on the P38 side of things? Storey? Anyone?

With the Nanocom out there (350 euro for a tool that does everything? I must be missing something) I'm really curious if this Rover-All-Comms-for-the-P38 will fly...

I am all for the small guy, especially Storey and his EAS Buddy etc.
But to part with hard cash, when progress seems at a standstill, is not good sense IMO. It is currently an expensive EAS system, especially when software is out there that is free. I own an EAS Buddy, and it has worked as advertised, but for everything else I dont see how you can beat the various BBS systems at the moment. Maybe that is why it is at a dead stop, other companies making products that work out of the box instead of having to wait for "updates"?
No doubt a great piece of kit for a Mk3 etc, but for us P38 guys, I doubt it will be "finished" in the foreseeable future myself unfortunately.

There have been quite a few updates (version number changes) just recently but nothing in regards to new features or interface changes. I emailed Storey a couple of times now but he didn't bother to reply on either occasion. He is obviously working on the software, but I presume it's bug fixes or something as he hasn't bothered to feature a changelog. If I were looking for diagnostic equipment I would look elsewhere, I wish I'd bought from BBS with it's better features however I wrongly thought All Comms would catch up.

For a fraction of the price of more functional devices out there, I think it is quite handy.

Fraction of a price of what?
For us P38 guys, all this does is the EAS, and that is not without its bugs apparently. This can be done for free, or with one of Storey's EAS Buddy's a lot more efficiently than using a laptop etc.
For a Mk3 owner, it may be the bee's knee's, but for a P38 guy, its all but useless.

I have to agree that the nanocom being already up and running with years of experience behind it and for not alot more money than the Allcomm would appear to be the best solution atm. but I'm sure Storey will get there in the end, and prob drive down the price of his competitors.![]()
There have indeed been delay in the progress on the P38a side of things. I am very sorry for the lapse in progress on my end. I had high hopes on finishing the P38a modules. Although I am still stuck on the ISO security challenge and response problem. Everything would fall into place if that was not a problem. If it make you feel any better, I did spend hundreds of hours on the P38a modules only to have the project fall short. I am extremely disapointed as well.
I will keep at it over the next few months hopefully. But time is at an extreme shortage with now two children under the age of 3 years old.

So Storey, how are thigns proceeding with getting set up as a vendor so we can keep the info flowing?
